Reading the numbers

How the dose is derived.

Fresh compound

2%

Two parts FLEXIAID per hundred parts rubber (2% of rubber weight). A 500 kg batch takes 10 kg. Improves processing, prevents scorching, enhances final aging properties.

Recovery

3–5%

Heavily deteriorated or scorched material needs more. The calculator uses 4% as a working midpoint — start at 3 and increase with material condition.

Disposal charges, inventory carrying cost, replacement compound and the four chemicals FLEXIAID displaces from the recipe all sit outside this figure.

The percentage is measured against the rubber in the batch, not the finished part weight. A 500 kg rubber charge takes 10 kg at 2%.
