Latex
Natural Latex (NR emulsion)
Liquid form of NR before vulcanization.

Styrene Butadiene Rubber
Most widely used synthetic rubber; tires, footwear.
SR
Silicone Rubber
Specialty grade with a wide service temperature range.

Nitrile Butadiene Rubber
Excellent oil and fuel resistance; seals, O-rings, gloves.
NBR + PVC
Nitrile Butadiene Rubber + Polyvinyl Chloride
Enhanced abrasion and ozone resistance.
ACM
Polyacrylic (Acrylate) Rubber
High-temperature oil resistance; automotive seals.
FKM
Fluoroelastomer — Viton®
Extreme heat and chemical resistance. Viton is a DuPont brand name for FKM.
EPDM
Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer
Excellent weathering, UV and ozone resistance; roofing, seals, automotive.
CR
Chloroprene — Neoprene®
Flame resistant with good weathering. Neoprene is the DuPont brand name for CR.
CSM
Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene — Hypalon®
Excellent UV and chemical resistance. Hypalon is the DuPont trade name for CSM.
IIR
Isobutylene Isoprene (Butyl) Rubber
Lowest gas permeability of any rubber; inner tubes, pharmaceutical stoppers.
BIIR
Bromobutyl Rubber
Halogenated IIR; faster cure speed, better adhesion; tire inner liners.
RR
Reclaim Rubber
Post-consumer and production scrap rubber, reactivated for reuse.
OGR
Off-Grade Rubber
Sub-standard material recovered by reprocessing.
Scorched
Prematurely vulcanized stock
Fully recoverable at 3–5% by cold de-vulcanization.

Aging shows up as hardening, cracking and loss of elasticity. FLEXIAID slows the slope. Curves are illustrative of direction, not measured values.
