During vulcanization — used in standard sulfur vulcanization to improve compound flow, prevent premature cure and enhance the final cross-linked properties of the product.
During de-vulcanization — breaks down existing cross-links in vulcanized rubber, enabling scrap recovery, reclaim processing and reintroduction of off-grade material into the production cycle.
Dose is given as a percentage of rubber weight. Add FLEXIAID directly to the mixer or open mill with the rubber compound.
Two parts FLEXIAID per hundred parts rubber (2% of rubber weight) for new compound production. Improves processing, prevents scorching and enhances final aging properties.
Higher dosage to fully de-vulcanize and restore heavily deteriorated or scorched compound. Start at 3% and increase based on material condition.
